[Android] How to use HTTP Proxy authentication on Android smartphone (without root)

This video will show you how to use HTTP Proxy authentication on Android smartphone (without root). 

Note: Fix the problem for those who cannot press the Save button

Software used:

Network Info for Android(free): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.warcry.networkinfoforandroid

1. Go to setting -> Networks tab -> WiFi

2. In the list of WiFi networks, click and hold the WiFi you are connected until a menu shows.

3. Choose "Modify Network"


4. Click the "Show advanced options". Select "Manual" in the Proxy settings.



5. Enter the Proxy hostname and the Proxy port.

6. Optionally, enter the domain names for which the proxy does not need to be used under "Bypass proxy for"

7. Click the "Save" button. Some devices will reconnect the WiFi network.

8. You can check the network connection by using Network Info for Android to make sure you are connecting via proxy.

** Some devices CANNOT save the setting after entering all the proxy information. In such case, enter your WiFi password again. The problem should be solved.
